This website is run by HYPERBYTE STUDIOS LLP (“Hyperbyte”, “we”). We build and sell Unity game templates through the Unity Asset Store and offer related development services. This page explains what information this website handles and why.
The short version
- No tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or social media trackers.
- No cookies. This website does not set cookies.
- Forms only. The only personal information we receive through this site is what you type into the support or project enquiry forms, or the newsletter signup. We use it only for that purpose.
- We do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Information you send us
When you use the contact, support or project enquiry form we receive:
- your name (optional) and email address;
- what your message is about, the product it relates to and the service you are interested in;
- for help with a purchased kit: your Unity invoice or order number, Asset Store username, Unity version and target platform;
- the subject and message you write.
We use this only to answer your request, provide support for products you bought, and prepare quotes for work you asked about. Your message becomes a support ticket in our own help desk, hosted with our website on Hostinger, so our team can reply and keep the conversation together. Replies are sent by email.
Purchases themselves happen on the Unity Asset Store. We do not process payments on this website and never see your card details. Unity’s own privacy policy covers your Asset Store account and orders.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter we store your email address (and your name, if you give it), where you signed up, and when you subscribed and confirmed. We first email you a confirmation link — nothing else is sent until you click it, and unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.
We use your address only to send occasional emails about new kits, updates and offers from Hyperbyte Studios. We never sell or share the list. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also reply to any newsletter asking to be removed. After you unsubscribe we keep only a record that you opted out, so you are not emailed again by mistake; ask us if you want that removed too.
How long we keep it
We keep support conversations for as long as they are useful for helping you (for example, if you follow up about the same issue) and to keep a record of the support we provided. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
Technical information
Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically processes basic technical data — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This data is used only for operating and securing the website.
The contact and newsletter forms also use a short-term, anonymised record of the sender’s network address to stop the same sender from submitting repeatedly within a few seconds. It is not used to identify you.
Preferences stored on your device
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device and you can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.
Videos
Some product pages include YouTube videos. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Preview images are served from our own website. When you press play, the video loads in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and YouTube’s (Google’s) privacy policy applies.
Links to other sites
This website links to the Unity Asset Store, documentation hosted on Google Drive and other external sites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Who processes data for us
We use Hostinger to host this website and our email. Hostinger processes data only on our behalf to provide those services.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop using it.
Email support@hyperbyte.in with your request. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website and our products are intended for game developers and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
